The Margretta Madden Styles (MMS) Award application cycle is now OPEN!!
First presented in 1987, the Margretta Madden Styles Award is named in honor of our esteemed former Dean of the UCSF School of Nursing. The purpose of the award is to recognize excellence in clinical practice, teaching, administration, or research among our Alpha Eta members. Award criteria are as follows:

* Leadership: innovation, inspiration, and ability to empower others
* Vision: considers the realities of today and envisions the possibilities of tomorrow
* Promotion and advancement of nursing
  • *  Leadership: innovation, inspiration, and ability to empower others
  • Please see the Circle website link above for more information on the MMS award, including how to apply. Please contact Jerico G. Alicante at jerico.alicante.rn@gmail.com with questions about the application process.

The Leadership Development Proposal (LDP) application cycle is now OPEN!!
These funds are available to active members of Alpha Eta of Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI). Members may submit one application per year and preference is given to those who have not been funded in the previous three years. A current board member may apply for these funds and such application precludes participation in the review and selection process for the year in which the board member applies. The funds are awarded for completion of a specific activity, within one year from the date of award notification. If the awardee is unable to complete the activity within one calendar year, funds must be returned to and the member must reapply if funds are still required. The usual range of funding is $500-$1000 per award.

Please see the Circle website link above for more information on the MMS award, including how to apply. Please contact Jerico G. Alicante at jerico.alicante.rn@gmail.com with questions about the application process.

The 2019 Research Award application cycle is now closed.
Each year Alpha Eta Chapter accepts applications for research grants, which are awarded to active Alpha Eta members in order to support nursing research.  Applications are reviewed by a panel of Alpha Eta members, and funds are distributed to the Research Award Recipients at the annual Alpha Eta Chapter Induction Ceremony.
